Saturday, Oct 5, 4:30-6pm: Join Huxley & Hiro for a spooky evening at Rockwood Park as we explore Delaware’s haunted history with local author Josh Hitchens! Dive into the chilling stories of Haunted Delaware and Eerie Delaware with Josh Hitchens as he shares mysterious happenings from across the state. The author will discuss his works, have signed copies available for purchase, and delve into Delaware’s spooky past—fun for all ages, so bring the kids and get into the Halloween spirit while learning about local lore. Then, at 6:00 p.m., continue the fright-filled fun with Rockwood’s Haunted Trails walk! It’s the perfect way to celebrate the season. Don’t miss out!

Friday, Nov 1, 5-8pm: Join us at Huxley & Hiro for a powerful evening combining art, music, activism, and critical discussion. Analog bird will present *Project Return*, a deeply moving portrait series of returned citizens from Wilmington, serving as the visual backdrop for an in-depth conversation on homicide, structural violence, and activism in the city. Authors of *Murdertown USA*, Yasser Payne, Ph.D. & Darryl Chambers, will explore the root causes and far-reaching impacts of violence, while Tanya N. Whittle, Ph.D., Director of Policy for the Delaware Center for Justice (DCJ) and adjunct professor at the University of Delaware, moderates the discussion. Don’t miss this unique event where art meets activism to foster dialogue and understanding. In residence will be Wilmington's own KYMA, founder/Executive Director of the nonprofit, Teach Zen Inc, will be adding to the vibe with her mantra music. Free to attend | Seating is limited | Registration encouraged.
