Welcome to Historic Downtown Wilmington!
Huxley & Hiro is Wilmington's premier locally owned and operated independent bookstore, located at 419 North Market Street next to La Fia Bistro.
Have you checked out the vibrant renaissance in historic downtown Wilmington yet? Come visit new local businesses, award-winning restaurants, and top destinations such as the Delaware Historical Museum and the Grand Opera House, all within a few blocks of Huxley & Hiro, your Delaware bookstore.
We sell books (fiction, non-fiction, children's books), gifts (including puzzles, games, and candy), postcards, candy, art, Wilmington and Delaware souvenirs, local art and books, and a growing selection of LGBTQ+ books and memoirs. We also offer notary services. We do not buy used books.
